In the modern hospitality industry, data security and confidentiality are paramount. Authentication not only protects sensitive information but also provides a personalized experience for each user. D-EDGE CRM follows this approach by offering a robust and intuitive login system.
Hotels have become a prime target for cyberattacks, and it is important to be aware of this to protect yourself.
For this reason, we also protect our users with two-factor authentication.
Create and Manage Your D-EDGE CRM Account
How to Create a D-EDGE CRM Account?
Only an existing user can create a new D-EDGE CRM account. A D-EDGE CRM profile is called an "Administrator" to differentiate it from users, who are the customers of your establishment.
Log in to D-EDGE CRM for the First Time
When creating your Administrator profile, you will receive an account activation email:
You will be prompted to create your password.
Here are some basic recommendations for creating a secure password in line with best practices, particularly to meet PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) requirements:
- Minimum length: Use a password of at least 12 characters.
- Complexity: Include a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
- No common words: Avoid simple words, proper nouns, or obvious combinations (e.g., "Password123").
- Unique for each account: Never reuse a password across multiple platforms or accounts.
- No personal information: Do not include data like your name, first name, date of birth, or address.
- Regular updates: Change passwords regularly (recommended every 90 days for critical systems).
- Password history check: Ensure that new passwords do not reuse old ones (typically avoid the last 4-6).
- Password manager: Use a password manager to generate and securely store complex passwords.
"My Link Expired! What Should I Do?"
If the link expires, you can still complete the email validation process. Here’s how to do it:
- Go to the login page: https://admin.loungeup.com
- Click on "Forgot Password?"
- Enter your email and confirm.
You will be invited by email to create a new password. And you're done!
Final Step: Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
The next step will be to enter the two-factor authentication code you receive in your email.
Be sure to check your spam folder if you think you haven’t received it.
You can also set up an OTP ("One Time Password") app on your phone. This app will generate a one-time code and avoid the need for an email.
